Sukošan is the closest point on the sea from Škabrnja: about 16 kilometres and 20 minutes' drive via Galovac onto the D8 state road. Dječji raj beach mixes pebble with paved sections, is shallow with a sandy bottom, and has sunbeds, showers and changing cubicles. Zlatna luka is pebble, with natural shade from tamarisks and pines and a beach volleyball court; Makarska beach is part paved, part pebble. The town is also home to D-Marin Dalmacija, the largest marina on the Adriatic, with over a thousand berths in the water and around 300 more on land. In summer expect heavier traffic on the D8 and harder parking.
