About

Nin is about 31 kilometres and 40 minutes' drive from Škabrnja, and the beach car park takes a few minutes more. Queen's Beach is sandy, roughly three kilometres long, with dunes and a remarkably long shallow stretch; you wade a fair way before it gets deep. The view runs to Velebit, and the wind makes the beach popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers. Beside the beach lies Croatia's largest deposit of medicinal peloid mud, registered in 1960 with the Academy of Medical Sciences in Zagreb as a climatic and thalassotherapy health-resort site. Mud therapy runs in the mornings under medical supervision, from early July to 31 August.
