About
The "Vrata Ravnih kotara" (Gate of Ravni kotari) trail is the nearest waymarked cycling route south of Škabrnja. The info centre in Kakma, where the loop starts and ends, is 16.8 km away by road. The loop is 20 km long with 253 m of total ascent, running from Kakma through Donja Jagodnja, Gornja Jagodnja and Polača and back to Kakma. It is aimed at MTB riders of basic fitness; TZ Ravni kotari rates it medium (2/5) and allows about an hour and a quarter at 16 km/h. No official source states the surface, so we do not guess at it. Ten rest stops are spread around the loop: the info centre in Kakma, the Petrim viewpoint at 253 m, the well at Gornja Jagodnja, Novak lake, Štrkovača hill, the St Cosmas and Damian memorial, the hunting lodge in Polača, a bike service point, and the Perinovac and Pribić wells. All points are taken from the official trail map. The trail was set up by the Polača municipality and TZ Ravni kotari.
