The parish church stands on Trg dr. Franje Tuđmana, next to the memorial centre. The earlier church, consecrated in 1918 to a design by the architect Ćiril Iveković, was destroyed on 28 January 1992, and both parish houses were razed to the foundations. Work on the new church began on 30 December 1999 to a design by the architect Igor Pedišić, and it was consecrated on Sunday 8 August 2004. The plan is elliptical, with a single nave and an open timber roof; the roof repeats the position and size of the destroyed church as an element of memory. The parish of the Assumption has existed since 1686.
