About
Ražovljeva glavica is a hill 165 metres above sea level, east of the village. It held the command post of the Škabrnja Independent Battalion and was the main defensive strongpoint; on 18 November 1991 the defenders held it until roughly 13:30. The Croatian Army retook it on 25 January 1993 during Operation Maslenica. On the hill stands a memorial to Denis Špika and Dragan Gulan, killed here on 27 January 1993, and a tank and an armoured vehicle are displayed on the plateau beside a Croatian flag. From the top you look out over the Ravni kotari plain, across olive groves to the wind turbines on the horizon.
